Momentrepreneurs: 10 Inspiring Examples

In the midst of this recession, it was inspiring to read about ten momentrepreneurs in my hometown who are thriving in a variety of different businesses.  Read this story to learn more about their challenges and triumphs. Be sure to pay particular attention to the profile of Michele Graham, one of my former clients, who has very successfully parlayed her experience from the corporate world into a homebased writing business.  Way to go Michele!

Mom Entrepreneurs: Introduce Yourself

I love hearing stories about all the wonderfully creative businesses Moms are running.  Today, I met a Mom who is launching a photography business that specializes in home decor photos.  Realtors, home-staging professionals and contractors can use her services to enhance their marketing materials with beautiful photos -- an innnovative way to target a niche segment of the photography market.  Last week, I heard another Mom speak who runs a business called the Challah Connection, an online website directed towards the Kosher gift market.  These "mothers of invention" have found smart ways to combine their skills, interests and work experiences with a need in the marketplace.
