TV Show Looking to Cast Working Parents

ABC's hit reality show, "Wife Swap" is currently casting for its fifth season and they are looking for great families, specifically parent’s that consider themselves career driven, financially responsible etc…but we are not exclusive in casting families for just that to participate in the show. Families must consist of two parents and at least one child between 6 and 17. Families who appear on the show receive $20,000 after completion of taping and if you refer a family who appears on our show, you will receive a $1,000 finder's fee PER family. If you are unfamiliar with the show, the premise of Wife Swap is to take two different families and have the moms switch places to experience how another family lives. This is meant to be a positive experience for people to not only learn but teach other ways of life. USA Today Wants Your Thoughts

USA Today is preparing a short article about the difficulties Moms face upon returning to the workplace after an extended absence. If you are someone who has recently done that, the reporter would like to speak with you to hear your feedback on the following questions:

--How did people manage to keep a “foot in the door” while taking time away to raise kids?

--Did anyone struggle with lower pay, less responsibility, or less respect upon returning?

--What might you have done differently to better transition back to work?

Input for Working Mother Magazine Article

Maggie Jackson sent me the following request for help with an article she is writing for Working Mother magazine.  Please send your input by  April 18 directly to Maggie at maggie.jackson@att.net.

" I am writing an article for Working Mother magazine about how working moms manage to sneak in time with their kids. I'm looking to interview moms who cleverly find ways to snatch togetherness during moments that don't seem like `quality time' such as :
     - chores
     - little family rituals, such as eating breakfast food for supper
     - storytelling especially at dinnertime - i.e. little anecdotes about school etc. 

      - hanging out, doing nothing in particular, such as watching clouds or a roaring fire in the fireplace
     - even arguments. These can be moments of bonding.
     The magazine is interested more in non-corporate types such as teachers, social workers, ad agency people etc., and I am trying to get people from all around the country. Also, the moms don't need to do everything above - just be clever and good jugglers and I'll take it from there.  I need them by next week if possible. I hope you can help!"
